ON THE LYAPUNOV STABlLITY OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS PERTURBED BY WHITE NOISES
A number of problems in mechanics, physics and applications are described by linear
Ito stochastic differential equations of the form
Ddx = Axdt + B(e) x dW. (1)
Yu. A. MITROPOLSKIJ and D. G. KORENEVSKIJ (1985-1986) have given some effective criteria
for the asymptotic stability of solutions of (1) wth small e > O. However, by a simple counterexample
we have discovered that a criterion of those authors is only sufficient condition, but
not a necessarv one.
By using a quite different tool, namely the Lyapunov exponent method, in this talk
we derive much more effective sufficient conditions ensuring the asymptotic stability of the
trivial solution x = 0 of (1). In some cases our conditions are not only sufficient, but also
necessary. The effectiveness of our results is illustrated by concrete numerical examples.
A general algorithm for solving the problem is also given and it can be easily used
on computers
On the existence and exponential attractivity of a unique positive almost periodic solution to an impulsive hematopoiesis model with delays
In this paper, a generalized model of hematopoiesis with delays and impulses
is considered. By employing the contraction mapping principle and a novel type
of impulsive delay inequality, we prove the existence of a unique positive
almost periodic solution of the model. It is also proved that, under the
proposed conditions in this paper, the unique positive almost periodic solution
is globally exponentially attractive. A numerical example is given to
illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.Comment: Accepted for publication in AM
Dealing With Non-Performing Loans During The Bank Restructuring Process in Vietnam: Assessment Using The AHP and TOPSIS Methods
This article aims to assess the solutions that have been implemented in Vietnam to deal with non-performing loan(s) (NPLs) in the banking system. By trying to build evaluation criteria through a literature review and an expert survey, as well as using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), this research measures the effectiveness of the resolution of NPLs in Vietnam through many factors. The empirical results show that, in the past, the banking system in Vietnam has not dealt very well with bad debt, as it mostly uses traditional methods such as NPL write-offs by loan loss reserves or the liquidation of collateral. Based on our consideration of the NPLs’ resolutions that the Vietnamese banking system has implemented recently, we propose some suggestions to improve the necessary conditions for applying more market-based solutions, such as debt-equity swaps and securitization to thoroughly resolve the NPLs in Vietna
Knowledge and attitudes about research ethics among social researchers in Vietnam: A cross-sectional study
Social research has attracted significant attention in Vietnam during recent years with more questions and discussions about how to promote the research outputs and publications in this area. However, there is limited information about the knowledge and attitudes of social researchers for research ethics in Vietnam. This paper aims to assess the knowledge and attitudes of social researchers about research ethics in Vietnam. A survey with 1200 questionnaires, through convenience sampling, was sent either printed copies or email to social researchers in the universities and research institutions in Vietnam. Our response rate was 65% (782), with mean age: 35.9 years (sd=.307). The results show that around one fifth had been trained with research ethics (23.5%), which led to significant responses to the "do not know" about the research ethics principles and research ethics committee with 14.3% and 55.3%, respectively. Despite such few experiences on the research ethics, the participants presented a positive understanding of the general principles of research ethics and positive attitudes to the importance of the related general ethics principles to social research in Vietnam. Such understandings and attitudes also led to the readiness to apply the research ethics values and principles while there are no formal ethical guidelines in Vietnam social research. These findings suggest that Vietnamese social researchers understood most critical ethics principles in social research and expect formal ethical guidelines
Review of Literature of Faculty Motivation for Doing Research in Universities
Faculty research in the universities plays a very important role in the education and development of every country in the world. The purpose of this research is to review studies in this field, different approaches in studies, and fundamental theories used for studies. The results obtained from the literature review show that many scholars have conducted researches on the determinants influencing the faculty productivity to do research. Most of studies apply the theories of working motivation. However, not many scholars conduct research on the faculty motivation to do research. The final result of this research provides follow-up suggestions for studies of the motivation for conducting research on the side of lecturers, thereby guiding managers to enhance faculty motivation to do research. The Effect of Awareness on the Behavior of Advertisement on Social Network Basis for Cosmetic Products Line
The study examines the factors affecting the perception and interaction behavior with advertising cosmetic products. The authors used SPSS and Smart PLS software to conduct statistics and analyze survey results. The results of data analysis show that there are 5 factors that directly affect the perception of avoidance: Health concerns; Doubts about advertising intermediaries; Privacy concerns; Information value; Obstructing cognitive goals. The factor that directly affects Avoidant Behavior is Perception of avoidance, there are 5 factors that indirectly affect Avoidant Behavior: Health concerns; Doubts about advertising intermediaries; Privacy concerns; Information value; Obstructing cognitive goals. At the same time, the research also shows that negative experiences do not affect the impact process from Avoidant Perception to Avoidant Behavior. This study has important practical elements for businesses, managers and even social network users in reducing users' awareness and avoidance of advertising
Damage detection of structural based on indirect vibration measurement results combined with Artificial Neural Network
In Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), damage detection and maintenance are among the most critical factors. For surface damage, damage detection is simple and easy to perform. However, detecting and repairing is difficult for damage hidden deep in the structure. Using the structure's dynamic features, damage can be detected and repaired in time. With the development of sensor technology, indirect vibration measurement solutions give accurate results, minimizing errors by infinitely increasing the number of measurements. This solution offers a great opportunity to reduce the cost of structural health monitoring. Based on the large amount of data obtained from indirect monitoring, artificial intelligence technologies can be used to obtain a more comprehensive model of SHM. In this paper, the dynamic responses of the structure will be extracted and determined through a vehicle crossing the bridge. Based on the results of structural dynamic response, a finite element model is built and updated so that this model can represent the real structure. Damage cases will be analyzed and evaluated as input to train the Artificial neural network. The trained network can detect damage through regular health monitoring by indirect methods
